Brooklyn Nine-Nine

is a detective show streaming on Netflix, but with a twist. The show is actually a comedy.

Instructions:

1. Watch the clip of the show as many times as possible, first with the subtitles in English only, then, if needed, with the Portuguese subtitles as well. 
2. While you’re watching try to undersdand:
   • The context:
     • what are they talking about?
     • who are they?
     • where are they? 
     • what are they like?
     • what are their names?
     • what’s their job?

• • The structures they use to express their thoughts and ideas.
  • New words and expressions for you to implement in your vocabulary.

     3. Check the slides to fully understand the dialog.

     4. Do the warm-up activities before watching the videos when studying the modules.

    5. In each module we’ll analyze the strutures of their speech from different perspectives, learning how to comunicate in English and stop depending on our Portuguese to know what to say.

   6. Do the quiz after you finish the module to check your understanding and review topics that are still not clear.

   7. As an extra challenge, everytime you finish a module, leave a comment using the structures you learned or with examples of the same strutures in songs, series, movies, books, etc. Apllying the notice technique in your daily life.

   8. Leave in the comments your questions about the topics that you studied.
